Everyone has a place at Airbus
At Airbus, we support everyone, regardless of their connection to the LGBTQIA+ community, whether within, outside, or as an ally. In 2018, employees across all Airbus divisions in the U.S. and Canada formed the Pride@Airbus employee resource group (ERG) to foster solidarity and support. The group leads initiatives to combat discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
We have a collective responsibility to respect one another as members not only of the Airbus team, but of the local and global aerospace community, and I’m proud to work at a company where everyone is free to bring their full selves to work every day, without fear or worry of not feeling supported.
- Franklin Ortiz, president of the Pride@Airbus ERG for North America.
Empower our Workforce & Cultivate Inclusion
Every year, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's corporate equality index (CEI) conducts a nation's foremost benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality in the U.S. The report was recently reaffirmed Airbus is ranked as one of the Top Workplaces for LGBTQ+ Equality.
Supporting each other, one email signature at a time
One easy way that Airbus employees can show support and allyship of the LGBTQIA+ community is by including one’s preferred pronouns in the official Airbus email signature. This applies to any and everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. By using a person’s correct pronouns, we show an affirmation and respect of everyone’s identity.
