Airbus Helicopters North America Pilot Award

 

The Airbus Helicopters North America pilot award recognizes flight experience in Airbus Helicopters’ broad line of rotorcraft. The award is based on hours flown, and qualifying pilots receive a certificate, an award pin or a patch for each level reached.

Award criteria

  • Award levels are based on number of hours flown in an Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft.
  • Time in both current production and earlier models is valid.
  • Pilots may combine times, if they have experience in more than one Airbus Helicopters model.
  • Hours should be cumulative, beginning with the pilot’s first flight in an Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft.

Airbus Helicopters North America Maintenance Technician Award

 

The Airbus Helicopters North America maintenance technician award has been developed to recognize the experience and responsibility level of those who keep the Airbus Helicopters fleet flying. The award is based on a number of factors, which contribute to the overall experience a maintenance technician gains. Qualifying maintenance technicians receive a certificate, work shirt patch, recognition medallion for their tool box or a wooden plaque for each level achieved.

Award criteria

  • This award applies to maintenance experience with the Airbus helicopters.
  • Experience with both current production and earlier Airbus Helicopters models is valid.
  • Potential recipients must, as a minimum, be an FAA licensed A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) mechanic.
  • Award levels are based on years, which can be accumulated through actual years of experience as well as added responsibilities See below.

- For each full year of experience maintaining an Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft add: 1 year

- For each completed Airbus Helicopters Inc./Airbus Helicopters factory school add: 1 year

- Those who serve (or have served) as a chief inspector add: 1 year

- Those who are (or have been) a DOM (Director of Maintenance) add: 1 year

Example:

  • The potential recipient has maintained an Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft for 4 years
  • The potential recipient has completed one Airbus Helicopters factory maintenance school
  • The potential recipient has an IA rating

10 Years - Airbus Helicopters Senior Technician
15 Years - Airbus Helicopters Master Technician
25 Years - Airbus Helicopters Distinguished Technician

Airbus Helicopters North America Medical Aircrew Award

 

The Airbus Helicopters North America medical aircrew award recognizes all members of the aircrew who have performed missions in an Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft. For each level achieved, a medical aircrew member receives a certificate, award pin, or patch. Air medical crew members who reach 5000 missions are eligible for a special award. A recognition plaque is given to the agency or hospital, and the aircrew member receives a special lead crystal diamond.

Award criteria

  • Award levels are based on number of missions flown (or dispatched) in an Airbus Helicopters rotorcraft.
  • Flights can be either public relations or medical in nature.
  • Crew members may combine totals if flying for (or having flown for) more than one program.
  • This award is applicable to any member of the medical aircrew:

- Flight Nurses

- Paramedics

- Communications Technicians

- Respiratory Therapists

- Doctors
